西新宿の路地裏に昨年8月にオープンした「Swamp」。四坪というこぢんまりした店内には、アナログレコードの音楽とコーヒー豆の香りが常に漂い、自分の部屋にいるかのようにリラックスできる空間だ。自ら厳選した豆をオリジナルの焙煎で焼き、エスプレッソとミルクを使った自由度高いメニューをサーブする。「新宿から歩いても行ける立地。喧騒から離れてゆっくり過ごしたいときに立ち寄ります。毎回頼むのがカフェマキアート。店主の石川さんとおしゃべりしながらほっと一息つける、憩いの場所です」

Swamp opened on the alley of Nishi Shinjuku in last August. The shop is only one hundred forty square feet, but it's always filled with the music from vinyl and the smell of coffee beans, making it relaxing like your home. They roast the carefully selected coffee beans in their original way and make drinks with espresso and milk. "It's in a walking distance from Shinjuku. I come here when I want to get away from the chaos and relax. I always order the caffe macchiato. It's a relaxing place where I can have a chat with the owner Mr. Ishikawa and catch my breath."
